Neon for the interior design of a chemist’s

Buj + Colón Arquitectos have designed a project for a chemist’s in the centre of Palencia that includes interior design and signage. Using neon as a defining component, Madrid based architects Raquel Buj and Pedro Colón have worked on the different possibilities that light offers, as a tool that links, illuminates and provides information both inside and outside.

 

Still in Llove, an ephemeral hotel; Dutch and Japanese design in Tokyo

Dutch and Japanese designers have come together to present Llove, a temporary exhibition-hotel that will open from October 22nd to November 23rd 2010 coinciding with the annual design fair Designtide Tokyo. Designers Richard Hutten, Joep Van Lieshout, Pieke Bergmans, Scholten & Baijings, Hideyuki Nakayama, Yuko Nagayama, Jo Nagasaka and Ryuji Nakamura have been chosen to develop the interior design of all the hotel rooms.

New Casa Camper Hotel in Berlín

The Casa Camper Hotel has just opened in Berlin’s Mitte neighbourhood, a new building designed by architects Fernando Amat and Jordi Tió. “Tentempié” – a buffet bar open for lunch and dinner witha fine view of the German capital- is situated on the top floor of the monochromatic eight-floor building, whereas at street level “Dos Palillos”, a restaurant designed by the Bouroullec brothers, has recently opened.
